Starting today, Monday March 23, 2020, we will restrict access to our office for any patient that has a cough OR fever OR any upper respiratory symptoms. Respectfully, we ask that you call the office; your concerns can be directed to the clinical staff and either Abigail Eley, DNP or Elizabeth Sanders, DO will triage your complaints. We CAN offer telemedicine visits TODAY. We want to take care of all of our patients but we must simultaneously also care for ourselves.
We cannot put our staff or other patients sitting in the office at risk. We have two choices: either lockdown the office and deny physical entrance to any patients with upper respiratory symptoms or permit them and assume we are infected with COVID-19. In that scenario, we must then deny access to everyone else. So, then how will the diabetic get their care? Or the migraine sufferer?
We appreciate your help in this time. If we can all cooperate, we can retain some semblance of normalcy while also being safe.
