Spring fresh

We spring forward with our clocks and the daylight lasts longer. We get home from work and there is still light in the day to mow the lawn, hike San Felasco or tend a garden. When the bounty from the garden arrives lending colorful dinner options.

Add a fresh vinaigrette dressing, maybe some roasted pecans and a pickled egg and you’ve got a healthy first course. These are mini romaine heads called Truchas. They are grown from pelleted non-GMO seeds I bought at Johnny’s Seeds.
